"A
naturally striking sculpture. This artist has managed to capture a
hidden quality within the facial expression of the piece that conveys the compassion of Vajrasattva. One unique aspect of this piece is the painted purple
portions of the cloth that the Bodhisattva wears beneath the crown and flow down
over his shoulders. The crown is then tied over the purple cloth. The entire piece is covered in semi-precious stones perfectly placed within the
sculpture. The Bell and Dorje are delicately held in his hands. The
copper coloring of the statue is deep and pure much like the piece itself. "

Vajrasatwa, the sixth Dhyani Buddha, is regarded by Nepali Buddhists' as
the priest of the Five Dhyani Buddhas. He is not represented in the stupa
like other Dhyani Buddhas but independent shrines are dedicated to his
worship.
This Dhyani Buddha wears all ornaments, rich dress,
a crown and is sealed with a crossed-vajra. He sits on a double
lotus base, crossed
legged in the meditative pose like other Dhyani Buddhas. He carries the
vajra in his right hand with palm upwards against the chest and ghanta
(bell) in the left hand resting upon the left thigh.
