Shakyamuni is the
fourth Buddha of the Fortune Aeon. He was the fully Awakened one. Shakya Tubba
was born in Lambini, Nepal. Gautama Buddha, the Lord of Shakyas or lion of the
Shakya clan. He is a historical figure and the founder of Buddhism. He is
seated on a single lotus base with his left hand holding a medicine bowl and his
right hand in the
blessing gesture.
The arch is
decorated with conch shells; a symbol of the proclamation of the Buddha's
teachings. The conch symbolizes the truth of the Dharma.

arch.
