This
beautiful Buddha head sculpture will bring a transcendental feel to any room!
Lord
Buddha has a wonderful serene expression and a faint smile.
The ushnisha,
protuberance above his head also referred to as a topknot, symbolizes His wisdom
and openness as an enlightened being. The ushnisha is also said to
symbolize the loose connection between the mind and body of a Buddha. The
Buddha is also always depicted with elongated earlobes, a vestige of his life as
a prince, when he wore extravagant jewelry. The urna, or third
eye found on His forehead is a symbol of enlightenment and it is also the 31st
physical characteristic of the Buddha. It also symbolizes and radiates
wisdom.
The large Buddha head rests on a wooden base which firmly holds the sculpture
upright.
